I did it. I left the rat-race, the 9-5 job, the city neighborhood with the H.O.A., and moved my family to live off-grid in the mountains in East Tennessee.

And guess what? I’ve never looked back.

There was no one to mentor me, to guide me, or to answer all of the many questions I had. I feel like we struggled because of it.

Made a lot of unnecessary mistakes.

That’s why I’m here.

That’s why my whole family is here………………….for you.

To help you, answer those questions you have about this life, and to help guide you when you need it.

What Do You Mean By Off-Grid?

According to the dictionary, off-grid means not being connected to public utilities. I tend to agree with this definition.

My family lives completely disconnected from public utilities. We are off the grid.

We raise our own food, collect our own water, and provide our own electricity.

Why Do People Go Off-Grid?

We all have our own reasons, and everyone’s journey is different.

For myself, I was tired of others having control over my quality of life. Tired of being alive but not really living. And tired of seeing my entire family plugged into the system that controls and manipulates us.

Those are my reasons. What are yours?

It is our goal as a family, to connect with as many like-minded folks, and help whomever we can.

If you have questions, advice you’d like to share, or just want to reach out and say hi, we’d love to hear from y’all.
